Delivery within 3 hours: that's the new Farmy X-Press!

Much is happening at Farmy, the Zurich-based e-food company. CEOs Roman Hartmann and Tobias Schubert show no restraint, especially in the logistics area- internal innovations are the order of the day here.

In addition to the Scallog picking robots, Farmy has even more news to share! By the end of 2021, Farmy officially launched X-Press delivery in a first test phase. In 2022, it’s time to take off - orders with Farmy X-Press will be on the customer's doorstep within three hours.

Farmy X-Press meets the contemporary desire of customers to be able to organise their weekly shopping within the shortest possible time. It complements the idea of saving time with the delivery service, which is already a reason for many Farmy customers for using the online market for their weekly shopping. So it was only a matter of time and capacity until the company would provide this service.

Initially, customers in and around Zurich with the following postal codes will benefit from X-Press delivery: 8001, 8002, 8003, 8004, 8005, 8006, 8008, 8032, 8037, 8038, 8044, 8045, 8047, 8048, 8049, 8055, 8064.

With the launch of the Farmy X-Press delivery, there will be a sustainability upgrade on top. Subject to availability, the X-Press deliveries will be made with Farmy's own electric vehicles or, from spring 2022, with new cargo bikes. In this way, Farmy not only meets its goals of particularly dynamic logistics but also wins in terms of eco-balance - in keeping with its motto of fresh, nimble and sustainable! This should go down particularly well with the sustainability-conscious citizens of Zurich.

Especially fast delivery, special assortment

At Farmy, not all products are in stock. Fresh food such as fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products arrive at Farmy from the producers on the morning of delivery. In other words, only what has been ordered is delivered, so that there is no unnecessary food waste in the supply chain.

Therefore, there is an adapted, especially fresh X-Press assortment for X-Press delivery. With one click, customers may switch from the standard assortment to the X-Press assortment. This is somewhat smaller, but is being continuously expanded and is of course still characterised by freshness and quality - literally only the best from Farmy.

The producers get an early estimate of which of their products will be requested as X-Press products, so that fresh fruits and vegetables from the region can also be delivered via X-Press. In addition, X-Press holds the complete pantry and drugstore range as well as everything for a festive dinner, a big brunch or even a Zürcher Znüni or Zmittag.

But that's not all - in order to be able to deliver crisp, fresh bakery products at any time, even early in the morning or late in the evening, Farmy now has its own bakery. The Farmy Bakery products with valuable and natural ingredients from fredy's AG are baked fresh in Farmy's own oven - customers can have fresh baked goods delivered in the evening or in the Saturday morning time slot.

The delicious baked goods of the other Farmy producers are of course still available, partly in the X-Press range and in the entire variety of the normal range.

Hourly delivery windows

Time slots for X-Press delivery are offered from Monday to Friday at hourly intervals from 08:00 - 22:00. This offers customers the opportunity to order within 3 hours, for example in the morning for noon or in the evening for the next morning. On Saturday, delivery starts at 8:00 a.m., the latest possible delivery slot is between 17:00 - 18:00. There will be no X-Press deliveries on Sundays for the time being.

Minimum order value and delivery fees

For all new X-Press customers i.e. also for those who already order from Farmy - there is no minimum order value on the first and second order. From a purchase value of CHF 120, the flat-rate delivery fee is waived; below that, it is just CHF 6.90.

To keep customers well-informed about their fast delivery, there is as usual with Farmy, an app notification or SMS shortly before delivery. In addition, there is the option of live tracking to follow the delivery on the map. With the new X-Press delivery, the Zurich e-food company can step into the future reliably, sustainably, and always accessible for customers.
